Late April?  Sure felt like mid January up on the mountain today!  Snowies have been getting blasted recently,  2-3ft of new snow over the past 5 days or so have led to mid season like conditions.  There is a soft base with about 1ft of fresh on top of it, producing some great snow quality! […]

A Snowy April Weekend

A big shut in low pressure system stalled over CO this past weekend dropping 4ft of snow in the foothills.  I went up to my cabin in the snowies for the weekend and rode the storm out up there.   Snow fell pretty good in the northern snowies, would say 25-30″ in the deepest spots I […]

A decent spring storm is set to hit Colorado tomorrow into Saturday. The GFS model is predicting decent snowfall for all mountain ranges in CO and the Euro model is showing less precip for all mountain ranges, especially NOCO.

One model showing the Snowies getting ~2ft, the other model showing the Snowies getting ~4" of snow. Still alot of uncertainty in this storm, curious to see how it turns out!

Looks like the Flattops is probably your best bet for riding powder this weekend.
